  1. I had before rated this much better, but at this point I’ve realized that this guitar is mostly a joke and you’re better off dropping $300 for an Epiphone Les Paul Studio or $600 for a Paul Reed Smith SE Singlecut. If you’ve got it, the Paul Reed Smith is worth it in terms of build quality and playability (the neck feels better, hand slides easier, etc); but the Les Paul Studio isn’t bad.

I bought this guitar earlier this year and it has been great to play with. I tried out many different guitars, and they either didn’t feel good, or they were out of my price range. The first time I tried this one out, it felt horrible in my hands, then a month later I tried it out again and it felt perfect. The neck is fairly thin which is what I was looking for since my hands aren’t too big. A lot of reviewers say this guitar has bad pickups, but it sounds pretty good to me. I have a small 20 watt amp and a Digitech Grunge Pedal hooked up to it and I get some really nice sound out of it. I’ve learned to play with little difficulty on this guitar and recommened you try it out first to make sure it works for you.

  3. Only thing that put me off is how the fretboard and headstock are heavier than the body itself, sometimes making it awkward to hold. It’s something small in the overall experience however.

  4. I highly recommend the guitar to anyone learning, heck, even those who have been playing for a while!

  5. I am 15 years old and in a metal band. When i got this guitar, it was the missing link in creating heavy music. The sound so heavy and dark, and the quality is at it’s perfection. The price is one to die for and with a good amp you can rock out.

  6. Wow, did you write this article yourself or pull it from somewhere else, its great!

  7. Using E string second fret and G sting second fret gives you an F6 ? Instead of using D6..Gives the tune a softer, very pleasant sound..On Horse with No Name. Cheers

  8. I highly recommend the guitar to anyone learning, heck, even those who have been playing for a while!

  9. whats the strumming pattern ?

  10. Darryl Keto says:

this isnt wrong; but this is like, the acoustic smooth non-rock version..

I bought this guitar not too long ago because I loved the sleek look of it. It reminded me a lot of Vortex’s guitar (from Dimmu Borgir). I read most the reviews on here before and most of them commented about how uncomfortable it was playing with this sitting down. It’s really not at all that uncomfortable. It has a really grungy sound too it, absolutely perfect for rock n roll or general metal. The finish was well done on this guitar and everything on it was in perfect condition, I could not find a single thing wrong with it. I found it very easy to play and it seems excellent on beginners. Combined with a Spider Line 6 app, it’s absolutely perfect. It’s pretty light compared to my other guitars as well (mainly cause it’s made out of basswood).
